Norwegian Highlights and Lowlights

  • Norwegian is a good choice for cruisers of all ages. There are things to do for families and good kids clubs (choose one of their bigger ships like the Breakaway, Getaway, or the Escape) with waterslides or their amazing Norwegian Bliss with solar powered go carts and laser tag) The ships are elegant enough that they will appeal to childless cruisers as well

  • They offer "freestyle" cruising which means that you can eat whenever and wherever you want, food is mid range

  • They provide decent entertainment and shows

  • Some ships offer the ability to buy a spa pass for $199 to enjoy their thermal spa experience throughout the week

  • Service can be great or leaves something to be desired depending on the ship. Debarkation can be chaotic on their bigger ships.

  • The beverage package is VERY expensive to buy (around $90 pppd!) so it doesn't make sense to do an interline rate and buy the beverage package! You can get a retail rate that imore expensive but that includes your alcohol!

  • They offer some sailings from Boston, NY and Quebec city which is closer to home for many Canadians
